They told me this section should be about me. About how I started the brand, where I come from, what made me decide to create caps.
Truth is I don't think my story matters that much.
Not more than yours.
Not more than hers.
Not more than the ones we don't hear enough.
Unleashed didn't grow out of a business plan.
It grew out of watching women and others too adjust, tie back, cover, smooth down, and sometimes hide,
just to feel safe.
just to be left alone.
just to be taken seriously.
I've seen beauty edited to fit in.
And strength toned down to not make noise.
I've seen people hide their hair to get a job.
Or a date.
I've lived some of those stories, too.
But mine is not the point.
The point is: this brand is not about one story. It's about all the ways we shrink.
And all the ways we learn not to.I wanted to create something that held space.
Something practical, yes
because life is already complicated enough.
But also something that said:
"You don't have to choose between who you are and what you wear."
You can be free.
You can be fierce.
And yes, you can wear a cap and still feel like a queen.
That's the story that matters.
Not mine.
Ours.
Because your hair shouldn't be hidden.
It should be free.
